The Queen's Coach

A campaign by Sabrina Davis

The Queen's Coach

Sabrina A. Davis is a licensed cosmetologist, and with over 15 years of experience working in the hair care industry, now owns “Queen of Roots” (QueenOfRoots.com), a natural hair care salon operating our of Florida, and specializes in health, natural hair treatment and styles since 2003.

As a registered and certified Sisterlocks® Consultant and Certified Training Associate (CTA), Sabrina is a licensed Cosmetologist operating out of sunny Florida. As a Natural Hair Care and Loc's specialist, Sabrina is currently the reigning, and the only Sisterlocks® Double "Master Stylist Award" Winner in history to date.

“Such an rewarded is a testament to my dedication to my craft,” said Sabrina, whose journey has been a long one to this point. Today she’s proud to have been in the forefront of the natural hair industry, with a lot of her designed work being showcased in local and nationally syndicated hair style magazines, such as "Hot Atlanta Magazine Group” and “Sophisticates Black Hair Magazine."

As a single mother supporting two children working harder and longer, almost never getting to see them, save for getting them up in the morning and sending them off to school and coming in at night to cover them up and kiss them on the forehead, Sabrina saw where this was headed, and eventually applied the brakes.

By then, Sabrina had acquired small space doing nails by appointment only, to supplement her income from working as a cosmetologist in someone else hair salon. However, it was always her my dream to own and manage her own hair salon, which to her meant ‘keeping an up front, on board, legal company…  from legal name, Federal tax ID numbers and financials that are stable enough to support myself,” said Sabrina.

“The more hours, more money, right?” noted Sabrina, who the more she worked, the more she dreamt of owning a salon.

Therefore, if  she was going to work this hard, then Sabrina needed to reap some of the benefits of her efforts,” she added. According to Sabrina, running someone else business for several years was good tutorship, which lead to her producing an established pinky's natural hair care system.

Having decided on a course of action, Sabrina decided to continue in the salon business, by specializing in the natural hair care industry, a niche area she believes she could excel in. Before too long, Sabrina was a household name in the natural hair care industry, as she specialized in an industry changing theory of “Loco logy”.

Having found support and added drive in a newly established relationship, Sabrina worked even harder to rebuild her family structure, while being encouraged to go to a school of cosmetology to be certified and licensed by the state of Florida.

“With much more encouragement and butterflies always fluttering away in my stomach, I set out on a path to establish and open my own salon,” recalled Sabrina, who had travelled a long and lonely path from “Pinkeys” to “Pinky's Nails,” then on to “Pinky's Natural”, which would later transform into “Pinkey’s Natural Hair Care Systems,”  which was officially launched in a commercial salon at iStudios, in Orlando, Florida in the coveted Doctor Phillips area.

Today “Pinkey’s Natural” has grown up, and has given birth to the newest natural hair sculpting corporation, “QUEEN of ROOTS, LLC / www.QueenofRoots.com

Looking back over the years to now, Sabrina is today very proud to have her natural hair talents, expertise, and designs showcased in local and nationally syndicated hair styles magazines, such as "Hot Atlanta Magazine Group” and “Sophisticates Black Hair Magazine."

Today, Sabrina works by appointment only, and so she advises clients to call for their natural hair care or Sisterlocks consultation. Alternatively, persons can book online their appointment via her web site under her newly established business name, www.QueenofRoots.com.
